Artifort Winner Lounge Chair by Floris van den Broecke, Netherlands, 1980

A chair that perfectly captures the bold optimism of 1980s Dutch design.

Designed by Floris van den Broecke for Artifort, the iconic Winner 760 is a sculptural lounge chair that effortlessly combines innovative design with exceptional comfort. With its organic silhouette, generous proportions and distinctive materials, this rare model is as much a statement piece as it is a comfortable place to unwind.

Please note that the interior images have been created using AI to illustrate how the chair could look in a contemporary setting. Minor differences from the original design may occur. All standalone product photographs are completely unedited and accurately represent the chair being offered.

Sculptural Design

The Winner immediately commands attention with its sweeping high backrest and elegant, architectural profile. Every angle reveals a different perspective, making it a true focal point within any interior. Whether placed in a living room, reading corner, office or gallery-inspired space, it effortlessly elevates its surroundings.

Designed Around Comfort

Beauty meets functionality through the adjustable backrest, allowing the chair to transform from an upright lounge chair into a deeper, more relaxed seating position. With a depth adjustable from 90 to 100 cm, it adapts naturally to reading, conversation or complete relaxation.

A Unique Colour Combination

This original example features a beautiful mint green upholstered shell, contrasted by a deep black seat and elegant solid beech armrests. The combination of soft textiles, warm wood and slender black steel creates a refined balance between organic warmth and modern minimalism.

An Icon from Artifort

For more than a century, Artifort has been celebrated for producing some of the most influential Dutch furniture designs. The Winner is a wonderful example of the brand's commitment to craftsmanship, innovation and timeless aesthetics. Today, it has become an increasingly sought-after piece among collectors and design enthusiasts alike.

More than just a chair, the Winner is a collectible piece of Dutch design history—an expressive lounge chair that feels every bit as contemporary today as it did over four decades ago.
