Found Icons is a curated destination for vintage design furniture and mid-century modern furniture, based in the Netherlands. Founded by Martijn Hoogeveen, the collection focuses on carefully selected European vintage design pieces from the 1950s through the 1990s, including iconic furniture, lighting and collectible design objects.
With more than twenty years of experience as a private collector, Martijn developed a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship, materials and timeless aesthetics that define mid-century modern design. What began as a personal passion gradually evolved into Found Icons — a curated collection dedicated to authentic vintage furniture and collectible design pieces.

At Found Icons, wooden furniture is restored in-house when necessary, ensuring that the original character of the piece is respected. Upholstered furniture is restored by specialised craftsmen who work with traditional techniques and high-quality materials.
The goal of restoration is never to alter the design, but to preserve the craftsmanship and extend the life of each piece.

Found Icons operates from a warehouse in De Meern, the Netherlands, where the collection is stored, inspected and prepared for shipment.
From this location we work with trusted transport partners to ship furniture safely to collectors and interior designers across the globe.
