Terms & conditions
1. General: Without prejudice to the applicability of any prevailing special conditions, all sales, supplies, and services are subject to the following general terms and conditions. These general conditions take precedence over those of the buyers. Payment for goods implies acceptance of these general terms and conditions.
2. Prices: All prices are quoted in EURO (€ 00.00) on the website, excluding shipping. Unless otherwise indicated, all goods are considered margin goods (second-hand goods), and therefore, special VAT legislation applies. VAT on margin goods cannot be deducted and is consequently not mentioned in our prices. For exports, prices do not include VAT or Duty taxes.
3. Payment: Payment can be made through:
- Bank wire transfer (see bank details on the invoice),
- Payment by credit card or PayPal is accepted, but bank charges are borne by the buyer (2.9%),
- We do not accept cash payments.
4. Acceptance: Our goods are considered sold upon invoicing and receipt of payment. Unless stated otherwise, the buyer agrees to either collect the goods within 14 days or to accept delivery/pickup within the agreed terms, starting from the payment date. Failure to collect the goods within 14 days, unless otherwise agreed, will result in a storage fee of 10% of the total purchase price per week, imposed by FOUND ICONS.
Our products are second-hand and come without a guarantee. To assess the goods' condition, we offer on-site viewing or can provide additional photos and/or videos upon request. Electrical products, such as lamps, are inspected and repaired before being listed on the website. However, it is recommended to consult a licensed electrician before use.
FOUND ICONS cannot be held liable for any damages or injuries resulting from the use of these products. Acceptance of the goods indicates approval of their condition.
5. Cancellation: The buyer has the right to cancel the order and request a refund within 24 hours of payment, with no questions asked. After 24 hours, cancellation will be treated as a return, subject to the item return policy. Shipment costs will be deducted from the refund, and a 10% restocking fee will apply.
If the buyer requested a delayed delivery and later cancels the order during this storage period, a 10% restocking fee will be charged for each week the item(s) were stored, up to the maximum paid item price, along with any incurred shipping/logistic costs.
Custom and made-to-order items are generally not eligible for cancellation, except within the first 24 hours.
6. Return Policy: The buyer can return goods within the statutory 14-day period after receiving them. Return notifications must be made via registered post or email. Delivery and return costs are non-refundable, only the purchased item price is refundable. The buyer is responsible for the transportation and risk of returned goods.
7. Shipments: Shipments are dispatched within 5 working days of payment receipt. All goods are securely packed with protective materials.
8. Delivery: Delivery deadlines are specified. FOUND ICONS is not responsible for delivery issues caused by external carriers. Complaints related to delivery should be submitted by registered post or email within 5 days of the delivery date.
9. Insurance: All goods shipped by us are insured against loss and breakage from depot to the client's address (curbside). In the event of a claim, FOUND ICONS may provide data to relevant insurers.
10. Claims: Although efforts are made to ensure safe arrival, goods may be missing or damaged upon delivery. It is crucial to inspect goods upon delivery, signing the receipt only if the goods are in good order. If an issue is noticed, the receipt should be signed with 'damaged goods,' and immediate contact with us is advised. Damages or complaints with the courier company must be communicated by email or registered post within 5 working days after delivery.
In case of defects, a written complaint should be submitted within 5 working days after delivery, including a description of the defective part, invoice copy, pictures of the defect, and packaging. A claim procedure will be initiated with the shipping company. Options for transport damage will be discussed, including repair costs or a full refund.
Claims must be made within 5 working days after delivery; claims made after this period are not valid.
11. Guarantee: All items are vintage design items, and therefore, we cannot offer a guarantee. The item's invoice serves as official documentation for insurance purposes.
12. Pricing of Goods: Prices on our online platform take precedence over prices elsewhere due to offer expiration, typing errors, or different sales methods on external platforms. An offer is valid and binding only after written confirmation or acknowledgment of the mentioned price. An offer expires after the expiration date or after 7 days if no expiration is mentioned. Expired offers hold no rights.
13. Privacy Statement: Refer to our Privacy Statement for data processing details and your rights. By paying our invoice, you agree that FOUND ICONS may share your basic data (address and telephone number) with carriers or suppliers for delivery purposes. FOUND ICONS retains records of data recipients but is not responsible for further data management by those entities.
14. Jurisdiction: The contract is governed by Dutch Law.
